Libretto Communications, Inc., is assisting the Town of Babylon in the development of their new web-based 311 Customer Service System.
The Town of Babylon has undertaken an innovative approach to customer service in relation to town services. Through the development of an online and web-based customer service system, the Town of Babylon will be transparent in its services and in assisting citizens with their concerns. This customer service system, otherwise known as 311 Babylon Direct, will allow citizens to visit the Town of Babylon's website (www.townofbabylon.com) and log onto the 311 system to find answers to an array of town service-based questions. Whether it is related to snow removal or recycling services or online activity registration, the Town of Babylon's online 311 system will contain all of the answers. Along with the online system, the Town of Babylon has instituted a "one number for all answers" system in which residents can dial 311 when inside the town's geographic boundaries to speak to town representatives directly regarding town services. "We are excited to be part of such an innovative program and will work with the Town of Babylon to ensure this program's success," said Donna Mandelbaum, President of Libretto Communications. Libretto Communications is part of the internal development team charged with building, organizing and branding the internal 311 system amongst all Town of Babylon employees and administrators.Contact Libretto Communications info@librettocommunications.com

In June 2008, Libretto Communications served as a strategic partner with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and BNIM Architects in the development of a Sustainability Conference for city employees. The two-day event served to open the dialogue on the issues of sustainability, green solutions, improved water quality and air quality, energy conservation, renewable energy sources, reduction of solid waste and greenhouse gas emissions.
Libretto Communications accomplished key internal communication strategies that enabled the team to develop a customized communications approach for the two-day workshop. In 2007, Kansas City stated that it would be a nationally recognized "green" city in five years and has made strides to accomplishing that goal. The sustainability conference for key city employees helped pave the way for the City of Kansas City to be a leader in this endeavor.Contact Libretto Communications info@librettocommunications.com
Since the launch of “Thunder Road” on mobile phones in 2007, the series, and its creators, have seen a tremendous increase in readership, prompting GoComics Mobile Comics Readers, a division of uclick, LLC., to publish the sci-fi comic series to the internet. This was the first time in North American pop culture that an original comic series was not only adapted for mobile technology but debuted in this format as well, a practice that has been steadily gaining momentum in Japan since 2003.
As a result of the publicity campaign managed by Libretto Communications, the original comic series has averaged 5,000 readers a week and has become the second most-read series published by GoComics.
“We knew that we had a unique and entertaining product in "Thunder Road," but we didn't have the time or know-how to market that product to a wider audience,” stated Sean Demory, “Thunder Road” Co-creator. “Not only did Libretto Communications take us on, they worked outside of the box to make sure that our message hit our target audience time and again. Libretto's public relations strategy worked within our budget to turn a new product from an unknown writer into one of the biggest sellers within its marketplace.” Thunder Road is a multi-panel, manga-style comic series, described as a “slow-apocalyptic, dieselpunk action adventure” set in an alternate middle-America. The series follows the trials of Merritt, a soldier/circuit rider working for the Department of Transportation who travels America’s Great Plains, a ravaged and desolate land suffering the consequences of decades of global atomic warfare. In September, Libretto Communications, along with its client incite Design Studio, celebrated the launch of its client's new web site, www.incitedesignstudio.com. The web site employs the latest in web technology including flash animation.
The web site devotes considerable amount of space to the architecture firm's latest multi-million dollar project, which is a mixed-use redevelopment project in Overland Park, Kansas. Libretto Communications wanted to not only make this an informational site but an interactive marketing tool as well. Routine updates on the redevelopment project help to keep the site dynamic while providing leasing and construction information to all users.
By listening to the client, Libretto Communications was able to deliver the product on time and on budget. Visitor counts to incite Design Studio's web site have increased steadily since the web site's launch in late summer.
